Operation manual of asphalt distributor


The operation manual of Chengli asphalt distributor is simple. After years of updating, it is now fully intelligent. Correctly using the asphalt distributor and complying with various operating regulations can give full play to mechanical efficiency and keep the machinery in good condition, so as to improve productivity and reduce construction costs.



First,  Preparation before operation



1. Check whether the steering, braking, electrical appliances and traveling devices of the vehicle work normally and reliably;



2. Check whether the engine lubricating oil, fuel oil and cooling water are sufficient and whether there is leakage;



3. Put all valves of the pipeline system in the closed position (especially the diesel cleaning valve and the air flushing valve must be closed);



4. Check whether the rear nozzle or hand-held nozzle and each nozzle are unblocked and whether the asphalt pump can rotate;





Second, Construction operation




1. Self priming: pour hot asphalt or normal temperature emulsified asphalt into the asphalt tank of the distributor: first connect the self priming pipe, put the self priming valve 2 and the oil return valve 3 in the open position, extend the self priming pipe into the oil pool, start the vehicle, turn on the main power switch of the front console, and put the "control position" in the "rear". Controlled by the background, the "control valve" is turned to the self suction position, the power take-off is engaged, and then the asphalt pump switch is turned on to start oil suction. After sufficient asphalt is filled, the asphalt pump switch is turned off to stop self suction, and then the filler cap is closed tightly. Note: asphalt shall not be filled too full to avoid overflow;





2. Thermal insulation: if the transportation or construction time is too long, the heat transfer oil small circulation and heating insulation function should be used. Small circulation and heating insulation: turn on the heat transfer oil pump and put the oil valves 12 and 15 in the open position. At this time, the burner can be turned on for insulation. The specific operation is: first open the oil inlet valve switch under the diesel tank, open the thermometer switch and the burner switch, and then close the burner switch when the temperature indicated by the thermometer reaches the specified temperature. The thermometer switch can be opened all the time to monitor the temperature change until the construction is completed;





3. Heating asphalt pipeline: after the asphalt distributor arrives at the operation site, ignite the burner to heat the heat-transfer oil, and turn on the heat-transfer oil pump for circulation at the same time. After the nozzle asphalt dissolves, turn off the burner and the heat-transfer oil pump. The temperature of heat transfer oil shall be controlled at about 250 ℃.





4. Large circulation: after the asphalt distributor is driven to the operation site, the large circulation shall be carried out first to make the asphalt pass through the whole pipeline to prepare for automatic spraying. The specific operations are as follows: first put the oil return valve 3 in the off position, turn on the front control main power supply, and put the console switch in the automatic spraying position. First turn on the oil inlet valve switch, then turn on the asphalt pump switch for large circulation, and then turn off the asphalt pump switch. At this time, the next step of automatic spraying can be carried out.





5. Automatic spraying: turn the controller switch to the automatic spraying position before automatic spraying, and then



Adjust the input of the controller according to the distribution width, distribution amount and asphalt type (see the following section for specific operation), and then turn on the small switch of each nozzle according to the distribution width. Disconnect the clutch of the vehicle, start the engine, shift the transmission according to the recommended gear, and start the vehicle according to the requirements of starting the vehicle. Then turn on the asphalt pump switch, turn on the main switch of the rear nozzle when you reach the distribution site, and start spraying. Note: the vehicle should be driven at low speed according to the recommended gear (the recommended engine speed is 1200 rpm).





6. Instructions for use of the controller panel: turn on the main power switch and press the asphalt type key. If the spraying amount and nozzle number displayed do not meet the requirements. Press F2 to modify parameters. If the error between the displayed spraying amount and the actual spraying amount is too large, press F3 to correct it. For specific methods, see the manual of automatic controller.





7. Spray with portable nozzle: "control position" is set to "rear". It is controlled by the background, and the switch is turned to the manual spray position. Then open the oil return valve 7 and the manual spray valve 9 (Note: the oil return valve 7 should not be fully opened, and the opening should be adjusted according to the pressure of the portable nozzle). Then, put the power take-off into gear, open the oil inlet valve switch first, and then open the asphalt pump switch to start the distribution work. If the pressure is too high, adjust the knob on the rear console panel.





Asphalt filling




The asphalt can be filled by two methods: equipment outside the vehicle and asphalt pump self-priming



Method 1: add asphalt to the equipment outside the vehicle



After checking the distributor and confirming that there is no fault, drive the distributor under the filler pipe, first put all valves in the closed position, open the small filler cap on the top of the tank (as shown in the figure below), put the filler pipe in and start filling asphalt. After filling, close the small filler cap 1. Small filler cap 2. Large filler cap 3. Vent


Attention shall be paid to the following matters when filling asphalt to equipment outside the vehicle:

1. Asphalt shall not be filled too full, especially hot asphalt, to avoid overflow;

2. The filled asphalt must meet the following temperature requirements, otherwise the heating time is too long, which is very harmful to the service life and working efficiency of the equipment. Ordinary heavy traffic road hot asphalt above 160 ℃:

SBS, SBR modified hot asphalt above 185 ℃; SBS, SBR modified emulsified asphalt is between 65-85 ℃;



3. When the new car is used for the first time, the accumulated water in the tank must be cleaned up, otherwise danger will occur, and the amount of asphalt added must be less than 60%

4. After the emulsified asphalt is used, the remaining emulsified asphalt must be removed before adding hot asphalt

Put it away, otherwise it will be dangerous.

5. Frequently check whether the vent is unblocked.




Method 2: self priming asphalt filling with asphalt pump of the vehicle



Drive the distributor near the asphalt storage tank (within 5m), as shown in the figure above, open the pump inlet valve ⑥ → open the oil return valve ② → close the oil outlet valve ① → close the rear spray circulation valve ⑦, start the vehicle engine, put the power take-off in gear, open the asphalt pump switch, adjust the rotation speed to a larger position, and control the engine speed to 2000 rpm. Open the small cap of the oil filler on the top of the tank (Fig. 1), observe whether there is asphalt flowing out of the oil return pipe. If there is no asphalt flowing out after the asphalt pump rotates for 1-2 minutes, stop immediately, and check whether the self-priming pipe, valve, filter, etc. are blocked and leaking. If the asphalt pump is stuck by asphalt and cannot rotate, the burner must be lit to heat the asphalt pump with heat-transfer oil. Refer to the section "asphalt pump and pipeline heating" for the method.



The following matters shall be paid attention to when the asphalt pump self sucks to fill asphalt:;



1. The self-priming hose must be tightly connected, and the asphalt filter cover must be tightly pressed without leakage



2. The liquid level of the asphalt storage tank must be higher than the center of the asphalt pump, and the distance must be less than 5m.



3. The idle time of asphalt pump shall not exceed 2 minutes.



Other precautions are the same as method 1.





Since the asphalt pump works under high temperature, with large internal clearance, long-term self-priming and fast wear, the company suggests to use method II as little as possible.



3、 Cleaning asphalt distributor




1. The asphalt will solidify when the temperature decreases, so the asphalt pump and pipeline must be cleaned after the distributor is completed or the construction site is changed midway. The cleaning method is as follows:



2. Clean the asphalt pump: first check and close all valves, open the asphalt filter cover, add diesel oil, put the power take-off in gear, turn on the asphalt pump switch, run at low speed for 1-2 minutes, turn off the asphalt pump switch, and the asphalt pump is cleaned. Be sure to close the valve after installation.



3. High pressure air diesel flushing nozzle: (Fig. 4) set the "control position" switch on the front console to "rear". Operate from the rear console, set the control valve switch to "nozzle blowing", open the main switch of the rear nozzle, first press the "air 10" switch, open the asphalt pump switch, operate at low speed, then open the valve 11, and then open the small switches of the nozzle one by one, so that a small amount of diesel can wash the pipeline and nozzle through high-pressure air, which can be flushed for 2-3 times, and then close the valve 11 immediately. If you only wash the hand spray pipe and rubber hose, put the console switch at the manual spray position, open the hand spray valve 9 and valve 11, and wash it for 2-3 times. After flushing, all valves must be checked to ensure that they are all closed.
