How to deal with the leakage of liquefied gas storage tank?

Time:2022-09-23 Views:52
Liquefied gas storage tank is a special equipment for storing liquefied petroleum gas, which belongs to special equipment. Its tank body is made of Q345R material of Class III pressure vessel. After flaw detection, hydro pneumatic test, on-site inspection by the Technical Supervision Bureau, issuance of pressure vessel inspection certificate, and completion of external rust removal and painting, etc. Liquefied gas is a flammable and explosive gas. When it is used, it must be used according to the safe use specifications, and regularly inspected and maintained. When the leakage of liquefied gas storage tank is suspected, the following two methods can be used to check the leakage:

1. Choose one of soap, washing powder and detergent, add water to make liquid, and smear it on gas appliances, rubber hoses, plug valves, gas meters and ball valves, especially at the interface. The part with bubbles is the leak point.

2. Look, listen, touch, smell and cooperate in leak detection (note: never use open fire to detect leaks).

If liquefied gas leakage is found, keep calm and take the following measures in time:

1. Immediately turn off the gas appliance switch and the switch on the pipe in front of the gas appliance;

2. No kindling is allowed. It is strictly forbidden to turn on various electrical equipment indoors, such as turning on lights, making phone calls, etc.

3. For ventilation, doors and windows should be opened in time. Do not open the exhaust fan to avoid igniting the mixed gas in the room and causing explosion.

4. When taking off chemical fiber clothing, do not take it off too fast to avoid explosion caused by sparks generated by static electricity.

5. If you find a gas leak in your neighbor‘s home, don‘t ring the doorbell, but knock on the door.

6. Call the local gas emergency repair alarm telephone or 119 telephone outside.

Once someone has gas poisoning symptoms (such as headache, nausea, vomiting, etc.), the person should be placed in a well ventilated environment immediately and sent to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible. Entering hyperbaric oxygen chamber is the first choice for the treatment of severe gas poisoning.
