How to deal with the common faults and troubleshooting methods of the drive shaft of the road sweeper?

Time:2019-03-20 Views:2346

When the sweeper drive shaft is used for a period of time, different types of faults such as damage, wear, deformation, and loss of dynamic balance may occur. These faults can cause abnormal noise and vibration of the road sweeper during driving, which can cause damage to related components. So how to deal with the common faults and troubleshooting methods of the sweeper drive shaft?

The sweeper drive shaft is the shaft that transmits power in the drive shaft of the universal joint. It is a high-speed, low-supported rotating body, so its dynamic balance is crucial. The imbalance of the drive shaft of the road sweeper causes lateral vibration of the shaft and causes the shaft to be subjected to unnecessary dynamic loads, which is not conducive to the normal operation of the shaft.

When the road sweeper is driving, the sound of "Garden" is sounded at the start or rapid acceleration, and the feeling of looseness of the machine is obviously manifested. If the drive gear of the drive axle is not loose, it is obvious that the drive shaft is loose. The loose parts are nothing more than a universal joint cross bearing or steel bowl and flange fork, spline shaft and spline sleeve of the telescopic sleeve.

Therefore, the causes and troubleshooting methods for common faults in the drive shaft of the road sweeper:

1. Vehicle vibration when the drive shaft swings or travels:

Fault phenomenon: When the vehicle is running, it is obvious that the periodic strong vibration of the powertrain is transmitted to the vehicle body, and the acceleration is obviously different from the taxiing. When the vehicle stops, the vibration of the engine runs at various speeds and disappears.

Causes and troubleshooting: 1. The assembly direction of the universal joint fork is inconsistent. Remedy: Regroup.

2. The drive shaft is twisted or bent. Remedy: Repair or replace.

3. The parts are loose or the amount of dynamic imbalance is large. Remedy: Repair, balance or replace.

Second, the drive shaft abnormal sound:

Fault phenomenon: When the car is driving, it is obvious that the transmission shaft makes an abnormal sound, especially when shifting. This sound is reduced or disappears when the vehicle speed is stable.

Causes and troubleshooting:

1. The expansion spline is excessively worn. Remedy: Should be replaced.

2. The universal joint bearing is worn, bitten, and damaged. Remedy: Replace the cross shaft or bearing.

3. The intermediate support bearing is worn or burnt. Remedy: Replace the fittings.

4. The fasteners are loose. Remedy: Retighten.

Third, the universal joint or the intermediate support bearing heat:

Trouble phenomenon: After driving the mileage of the road sweeper, it was found that the grease at the middle support bearing was liquefied from the oil seal, and the parts touched by the hand.

Causes and troubleshooting:

1. The universal joint bearing or the intermediate support bearing is short of oil. Remedy: Fill with grease.

2. The intermediate support bracket is not properly installed. Remedy: Correct the bracket so that the bearing is perpendicular to the drive shaft.

3. The oil seal is too tight. Remedy: Mix at low speed and add oil at the cutting edge.

The above is the cause and troubleshooting of common faults in the drive shaft of the road sweeper. Drivers should pay more attention to the fault when using the sweeper, and solve the problem in time to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
