Correct maintaining of the steel wire rope on crane truck?

Time:2020-02-25 Views:806

Truck-mounted cranes belong to engineering and construction vehicles. In engineering and construction accidents, there are many accidents caused by wire rope breaks. In fact, these accidents could have been avoided. This requires us to be more careful during the normal operation. Don‘t forget the wire rope during crane maintenance.

First we have to understand why the wire rope breaks?
1. When lifting the cargo, the hook falls to the ground, the wire rope pops out of the groove, and falls into the side seam, that is, jumps the groove. As soon as the crane worked hard, the wire rope became stuck.
2. When lifting goods with heavy weight, the steel wire rope cannot bear the weight it should bear, that is, overload work.
3. Always pay more attention to maintenance, and often use butter to wipe the wire rope in a timely manner to reduce friction.
4. If the wire rope is found to be fluffy, it must be replaced in time, keeping in mind that safety comes first!

What problems should be paid attention to when maintaining the crane?
1. Pay attention to the pipeline, valve body, and oil seal for aging and leakage, and check the hydraulic oil (oil level, dirt and viscosity) regularly.
2. Pay attention to the leakage of the control valve (whether the leg automatically retracts or extends, whether the luffing cylinder automatically falls after lifting the boom, etc.).
3. Pay attention to whether there are abnormal noises in the power take-off, oil pump, swing mechanism, winch and other components.
4. Pay attention to the lubrication of slewing bearings, fulcrum of hydraulic cylinder, etc.
5. Pay attention to check the wire rope for broken wires and bristles, pay attention to check whether the pulley edge is damaged, whether the pulley groove is too deep, and whether the hook structure is excessively worn.
