Basic knowledge of refrigerated vehicle classification

Time:2019-07-19 Views:1778
According to the "Road Transportation, Food and Biological Products Refrigerated Vehicle Safety Requirements and Test Methods" (Standard No.: GB29753-2013), the grade of refrigerated trucks is divided into eight grades from A to H.

For refrigerated trucks that transport perishable foods: When the ambient temperature is 30 °C, the temperature range maintained by the average temperature in the refrigerated truck compartment is divided into the following six categories:

The average temperature of the Class A car is 12 ° C ~ 0 ° C

The average temperature of the B-class car is 12 ° C ~ -10 ° C

The average temperature of the C-class car is 12 ° C ~ -20 ° C

The average temperature of the D-class car is ≤0 °C

The average temperature of the E-class car is ≤-10°C

The average temperature of the F-class car is ≤ -20 ° C

For refrigerated trucks that transport perishable foods: When the ambient temperature is 30 °C, the temperature range maintained by the average temperature in the refrigerated truck compartment is divided into the following two categories:

The average temperature of the D-class car is 8 ° C ~ 2 ° C

The average temperature of the H-class car is ≤ -20 ° C

(This classification method is basically based on the temperature requirements of the goods)

Perishable foods that are frequently transported generally have the following major categories:
The first category is frozen foods, such as frozen meat, aquatic products, frozen foods, and so on. These foods generally require storage temperatures below -18 ° C and can be stored for months to ten months. These foods only need to set the set temperature in the car to -18 °C during the hourly transportation, and do not need to strictly control the accuracy of temperature fluctuations. Such foods should be transported in Class F refrigerated trucks.

The second category is chilled foods such as cold meat, aquatic products, eggs, and so on. The transportation temperature requirement of such foods is to ensure that the food is not frozen, the lower the temperature, the better, that is, close to 0 ° C or lower. This type of food is required to be transported in refrigerated trucks of grades D, E and F. These canned foods require a transport temperature of around -5 ° C and are transported in E and F grade refrigerated trucks.

The third category is vegetables and fruits. The transportation of such foods is more complicated in refrigerated transport. First of all, the temperature requirements of various vegetables or fruits are different. Secondly, many vegetables or fruits have higher requirements for temperature fluctuations and cannot deviate from the set temperature. Third, because vegetables and fruits still have to breathe after picking, Breathing heat is generated, so the refrigerated truck refrigeration unit is required to provide more cooling capacity. In addition, such foods also have requirements for relative humidity. Therefore, although the refrigerated trucks from A to F can be used for vegetable and fruit transportation in principle, the carrier‘s technology and experience are very important.
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a copy of "Protection of Perishable Foods in the Process of Car Transportation", detailing the transportation methods for various perishable foods.
Biological products are mainly used for medical treatment, and are basically divided into two categories according to storage temperatures. One type requires a temperature of 2 ° C - 8 ° C, such as blood, some vaccines, etc. This type of cargo also has high accuracy requirements for temperature fluctuations. The other type requires a temperature of -20 ° C, such as plasma. Therefore, refrigerated trucks with biological products are also classified into two categories.
